How the Brake Bias Valve Works

The valve is typically installed in the rear brake circuit and can only reduce the hydraulic pressure supplied to the rear brakes. It does not increase brake pressure above that normally available from the braking system.

• Fully Clockwise – Minimum Pressure Reduction

  Provides the maximum available rear brake pressure and the closest setting to having no bias valve in the circuit.

• Turn Counter-Clockwise – Reduce Rear Brake Pressure

  Turning the adjustment knob counter-clockwise progressively increases the reduction in hydraulic pressure to the rear brakes.

• Fully Counter-Clockwise – Maximum Pressure Reduction

  Provides maximum rear brake pressure reduction of up to 60%.

Brake Bias Valve Installation & Setup

• Drain the brake fluid before installation.
• Secure the brake bias valve using the 2 x M6 mounting holes.
• Connect the IN port to the brake line from the master cylinder.
• Connect the OUT port to the rear brake circuit.
• Bleed the brake system thoroughly and check all connections for leaks.
• For a sensible starting point, turn the knob fully clockwise, then fully counter-clockwise while counting the number of turns. Turn it clockwise by half that number to position the valve at mid-range.
• Fine-tune the brake balance to suit the vehicle and braking setup.
