AN6 hoses are generally low maintenance, but it's a good idea to inspect them regularly for wear and tear, especially if they're exposed to high temperatures or pressures.
-
How long will my custom AN6 hoses last?

-
How to make custom AN6 lines?
Our custom braided hose builder makes designing your custom hoses a breeze. Simply choose your hose fittings, add adapters and banjo bolts if needed and finally, choose your hose length and heatsleeve if you need it. We'll start assembling your hoses as soon as we receive your order.
-
How do I measure the hose?
The easiest way to measure your custom hose is with a piece of flexible wire or sturdy string. Make sure you go around all objects and follow all curves to make sure you don't measure the hose too tight, or the hose will be stretched when you fit it. You need to measure from the seats of male and female fittings and from the center of the hole on banjo fittings. Refer to the two vertical lines on the hose builder diagram when building your hoses as the length measurement will change depending on the chosen fitting.
-
How are your AN6 PTFE hose fittings attached to the hose?
Our braided PTFE hose fittings feature a modern, tapered screw design for a tight, leak-free connection. First, we slide the fitting collar onto the cleanly cut hose, then with the hose secured in an aluminium vice, we use an aluminium spanner to screw the nut end of the fitting into its collar. We're very careful not to over tighten as this can crack and damage the fitting.
-
Are your custom braided hoses suitable for track use?
Our custom AN hoses have been tested and trusted at the highest levels of motorsport, including British Touring Cars and Drift Masters
-
What is AN6?
AN6 is a hose fitting size, which is commonly used for automotive fluid connections. You can find detailed AN6 hose specifications on our AN hose specifications page or take a look at the specifications section below.
-
Why can't one end be open-ended like your rubber hoses?
PTFE hoses aren't compatible with hose finishers or jubilee clips, as PTFE doesn't mould or flex like rubber does. To ensure safety and reliability, we only supply our custom PTFE hoses with both PTFE hose fittings securely attached.
