-
What is an AN male bulkhead T-piece used for?
It provides three interconnected AN male connections for splitting or combining compatible fluid lines, with one extended leg allowing the T-piece to be securely mounted through a suitable panel or bracket.
-
What size are the connections?
All three connections are AN3, using 3/8"-24 UNF male threads.
-
What is different about the bulkhead connection?
The bulkhead leg has an extended threaded section that allows it to pass through a suitable panel or bracket and be secured with a compatible bulkhead nut. The fluid connection itself remains AN3 male.
-
How do the AN3 connections seal?
Each connection seals against the mating 37° female flare. The straight 3/8"-24 UNF thread provides retention rather than the fluid seal.
-
Do the AN threads require thread sealant?
No. Thread sealant should not be used to create the seal because the AN/JIC connections seal at the mating 37° flare rather than on the thread.
-
Is a bulkhead nut required?
A compatible bulkhead nut is required when using the extended leg to secure the T-piece through a panel or bracket. The nut is available separately.
-
What is the T-piece made from?
It is manufactured from stainless steel for excellent strength, durability and corrosion resistance.
-
Can the T-piece be reused?
Yes. It can be removed and reused provided the threads and 37° sealing surfaces remain clean and undamaged.
