What Does a Bleed Nipple Do?

A bleed nipple provides a controlled outlet for removing trapped air and old hydraulic fluid from a brake or clutch system. During bleeding, the nipple is opened to allow fluid and air to escape before being closed again to seal the hydraulic circuit.
