What is an ORB Port Blanking Plug?

An ORB port blanking plug closes an unused female O-Ring Boss port. The straight UNF thread secures the plug into the port while an O-ring creates the fluid seal against the machined sealing surface.

ORB and AN/JIC Are Different Connections

ORB and AN/JIC fittings can use the same thread diameter and pitch, but they seal differently. ORB connections seal using an O-ring, while AN/JIC fittings seal on a 37° flare. These plugs are designed for compatible ORB ports and do not have an AN/JIC flare.
