What are rubber cushioned P-clips used for?
Rubber cushioned P-clips are used to secure hoses, pipes and cables to a suitable mounting point. The rubber lining helps protect against abrasion and reduces vibration between the secured line and the metal clip.
-
What sizes are available?
We offer two internal diameters:
- 9mm – Holds AN3 braided hose securely
- 12mm – Provides a looser fit around AN3 braided hose
-
Are these P-clips compatible with your custom braided hoses?
Yes. Both sizes can be used with compatible AN3 braided hose assemblies, including hoses produced using our Custom Brake Line, Custom Clutch Line and AN3 PTFE hose builders.
-
What are the P-clips made from?
The P-clips feature a stainless steel band with a rubber cushion. The stainless steel provides strength and corrosion resistance, while the rubber lining protects the hose, pipe or cable from direct contact with the metal band.
-
What is the difference between the 9mm and 12mm P-clips?
The 9mm P-clip provides a secure hold around compatible AN3 braided hose, while the 12mm version provides a looser fit where some additional clearance is required.
-
How are the P-clips installed?
Position the P-clip around the hose, pipe or cable, bring the mounting tabs together and secure them to a suitable mounting point using an appropriate fastener.
