Black Cotton Covered Stainless Steel Braided CPE Rubber Hose

This braided hose combines a smooth-bore CPE rubber inner hose with stainless steel braid reinforcement and a protective black nylon-cotton outer braid. It is designed for compatible fuel, oil, coolant and hydraulic applications where a flexible covered hose construction is preferred.

CPE Rubber Inner Hose

The CPE rubber inner provides a flexible fluid path and is suitable for the compatible fluids and applications listed in the Specifications.

Stainless Steel Reinforcement with Black Outer Braid

The stainless steel braid reinforces the rubber hose, while the black nylon-cotton outer braid covers the metal reinforcement and helps protect surrounding surfaces from direct contact with the stainless braid.

Size-Specific Pressure & Dimensions

Internal diameter, outside diameter, minimum bend radius, pressure ratings and other technical values vary by hose size. Refer to the Specifications for the exact values for the selected hose.

Compatible Rubber Braided Hose Fittings

This hose is designed for use with compatible rubber braided hose fittings. Compatible hose finishers are also available for clamp-type connections where appropriate.

Not compatible with PTFE braided hose fittings or push-lock hose fittings. Use fittings specifically designed for rubber braided hose.

Fuel Compatibility

The specified compatible fuels include E5 and E10 petrol and diesel. For fuels such as E85 or methanol, select a suitable PTFE braided hose instead.

What is underneath the black outer braid?
The hose has a CPE rubber inner reinforced with stainless steel braid. The black nylon-cotton braid forms an additional outer covering over the stainless steel reinforcement.
What is the difference between this hose and the exposed stainless steel braided version?
This version has an additional black nylon-cotton outer braid covering the stainless steel reinforcement. The two products also have different published pressure ratings, minimum bend radii and weights, so refer to the Specifications for the exact values for each hose.
Which fittings should I use with this hose?
Use compatible CPE rubber braided hose fittings. PTFE braided hose fittings and push-lock hose fittings are not compatible.
Can I use this hose with E5 and E10 petrol?
Yes. E5 and E10 petrol are included in the specified compatible fluids, along with diesel, engine oil, hydraulic oil, coolant, water and air.
Is this hose suitable for E85 or methanol?
E85 and methanol are not included in the specified compatible fluids for this CPE rubber hose. For those fuels, select an appropriately specified PTFE braided hose instead.
What is the maximum operating pressure?
The maximum operating pressure depends on hose size. AN6, AN8 and AN10 are rated to 500 PSI (34 bar), while AN12, AN16 and AN20 are rated to 350 PSI (24 bar). Refer to the Specifications for the corresponding burst pressures.
What temperature range can the hose operate at?
The specified operating temperature range is -40°C to +150°C (-40°F to +302°F).
How do I choose the correct hose size?
Choose the hose size according to the flow requirements, connection sizes and routing requirements of the installation. The Specifications show the internal diameter, outside diameter, minimum bend radius and pressure rating for each available hose size.
