ConfigurePerformance Braided Hose
Our braided hose is designed for serious performance. Available in the most popular AN sizes (AN6 to AN20), you can choose between reinforced rubber braided hose or PTFE-lined braided hose - perfect for in-cabin fuel lines and resistant to race fuels like E85. All our braided hose has the option of two outer coatings: classic stainless steel or stealthy black cotton. Designed to handle oil, fuel, and coolant applications with confidence.

What's the difference between the reinforced rubber core and PTFE core?
When choosing between a reinforced rubber and PTFE core for oil, fuel, or coolant hoses, you need to consider what the hose will be used for. PTFE hose is ideal for fuel lines, especially when installed inside a cabin, because it significantly reduces fuel vapour and is fully compatible with ethanol-based fuels like E85 and other high-performance racing fuels. Aggressive fuels like E85 can remain in PTFE hose between uses, so you don't need to drain the hose after each event. PTFE braided hose is also suited for carbon dioxide (CO2) and nitrous oxide (N2O) systems. On the other hand, reinforced rubber hose is more flexible and is suited for oil and coolant hoses and fuel lines installed outside the cabin. When measuring PTFE hose, it's important to avoid sharp bends to avoid kinking, so use sweeping curves or long straights for the best flow.
-
What's the difference between stainless steel braiding and black nylon cotton braiding?
Stainless steel braided hose and black nylon cotton braided hose primarily differ in their outer layers. Stainless steel braided hose is designed for high-pressure applications, delivering outstanding wear resistance. On the other hand, black nylon cotton braided hose is more flexible, making it easier to install in tight spaces. Both types of braiding share the same inner core, whether that's reinforced rubber or PTFE.
-
How do I choose the best oil, fuel, or coolant hose for my vehicle?
Choosing the most suitable braided hose involves taking into account the type of fluid, the pressure it needs to endure, and where it will be installed. For fuel lines located inside a vehicle cabin, PTFE-lined braided hose is recommended due to its excellent resistance to fuel vapour. On the other hand, reinforced rubber braided hose is a reliable option for all oil and coolant systems and for fuel lines located outside the cabin.
-
What type of fittings can be used with braided hose?
The fittings that are compatible decide on which type of hose you choose. PTFE braided hose requires PTFE braided hose end fittings and rubber braided hose requires rubber braided hose end fittings. They are not interchangeable.
-
Why should I choose braided hose?
Braided hose is known for its durability and reliability, making it a preferred choice in motorsport, aviation, military, and marine industries. Combined with reusable hose end fittings, it is cost-effective and customisable. Whether you're upgrading your vehicle's fuel system or need a new secure, leak-free connection, braided hose offers superior protection and performance for fluid transfer.
