What is an AN Male to Female Adapter?

An AN male to female adapter connects a female AN/JIC fitting at one end to a male AN/JIC fitting at the other. Different-size versions can be used as reducers or expanders, while the swivel female connection allows easier alignment during installation.

How Do the Connections Seal?

Both ends use JIC 37° flare sealing. The male end seals on its 37° cone flare, while the female end contains a corresponding 37° flare seat. Thread sealant or PTFE tape is not required on correctly matched AN/JIC flare connections.
