How Do AN to BSPP Adapters Seal?

The two connections use different sealing methods. The AN/JIC connection seals on its 37° flare, while the BSPP connection seals using an O-ring against the mating port. The BSPP thread is parallel and retains the adapter rather than providing the fluid seal.
