-
Does the hardline need to be flared?
No. The hardline connection uses a brass compression olive, so the end of the tube does not need to be flared.
-
Are the hardline sizes inside or outside diameter?
The listed hardline sizes refer to the outside diameter (OD) of the tube. Select the adapter to match the outside diameter of your hardline.
-
What hardline materials can I use?
These adapters are suitable for aluminium, stainless steel and copper hardline in the corresponding outside diameter.
-
How does the AN connection seal?
The female AN/JIC connection seals against the mating male fitting on the 37° flare surfaces rather than on the threads.
-
Can the adapter be reused?
The adapter can be reused if it remains undamaged. A new compression olive should be fitted whenever the hardline connection is reassembled.
