What are AN female to AN female adapters used for?
They connect two compatible male AN connections directly together, including hose fittings, adapters and other AN components.

Do both female connections swivel?
Yes. Both female AN connections swivel independently, allowing the adjoining fittings to be aligned and tightened during installation.

How do the connections seal?
Both connections use JIC 37° flare sealing. The female flare seats seal against the corresponding male 37° cone flares.

Do I need PTFE tape or thread sealant?
No. The AN connections seal on the mating JIC 37° flare surfaces rather than on the threads, so PTFE tape or thread sealant is not required.
